Wright City Fire Protection District (WCFPD)

provides fire, non-transport basic life support emergency medical, hazardous materials response, and rescue services for approximately 90 square miles in and around the Wright City, Missouri area. WCFPD is comprised of a five-person Board of Directors, a full-time Administrative Assistant, a six-member Fire Corps auxiliary staff, fourteen volunteer firefighters, twelve full-time career firefighters, a full-time Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal, and a full-time Fire Chief which meet the second Thursday of each month at 4p.m. at the firehouse in Wright City. The mission of the WCFPD is “To Serve, Educate, and Protect our Community” which we do by being recognized in the community for setting the standard in public safety and education through responsive leadership dedicated to professional conduct and ethics. Our members actively participate in all community events and provide essential non-emergency services such as child car seat inspections and installations, smoke detector checks and installations, public fire safety education and fire extinguisher programs, and fire code inspections and permitting.
